IEL Communications Skills - Students took notes on subject and verb agreement and defined what a subject and predicate part of a sentence is. Students worked in groups to practice identifying subjects and verbs.
Students practiced correcting sentences with improper subject verb agreement and created their own sentences.
Students practiced the different uses of the verbs to be, to have and to do.
IEL Science Skills -
Continuing with our unit on plants, students learned key vocabulary for the various plant families and their characteristics. We read the text experts about fruits and vegetables in our groups and students presented their findings to the class.
