Today we are going to begin reviewing all the English vocabulary we have learned in IEL this year. We will work on school and academic related vocabulary today and review forming the simple present tense of verbs
IEL Science - We begin talking about energy and force today. Students will take notes on key vocab and create flashcards and sentences in their groups IEL Communication SKills/Reading: Students are working hard on their PBL projects with Mr. Bond's Geography classes. Students will spend today working with their collaborative groups to create their documentaries OR on-line scrapbooks.
IEL Science Skills - Students will use class time today to complete their "States of Matter" books in class. This is a project that will count as a test grade IEL Communication Skills/Reading - Today we will begin our PBL projects with Mr. Bond's geography classes. Students will work in their group to decide which project to do and use the computer labs to being their writing and or video documentaries.
IEL Science Skills - Students will read text book pages 162-164 and complete the critical questions. They will also be assigned and begin their "States of Matter" projects. IEL Communication Skills/Reading - Today we will kick off our PBL with Geography classes. We will break into collaborative groups and watch the films "A Better Life"- students will answer discussion questions and participate in group ice-breaker activities. S
IEL Science Skills - We begin our new Unit on Matter today - students will read the text about state of matter and answer critical questions, students will also watch a short video about the changing states of matter and take notes. IEL Communication/Reading Skills - We will go to the Computer Lab today for Rosetta Stone. Complete your weekly self-reflections and goals.

Students will pair with a partner and conduct the "My Journey Home" interview. Students will then use the information to begin writing a narrative about their partner's journey. IEL Science Skills - We will continue weather and climate today. Students will create a non-linguistic organizer for the six biomes. Students will also read the poem "Climate Change" and then create their own poems about a biome of their choice. |
